On Wed last week i was put on avail for a SAG TACO BELL Commercial - and by Thursday I found it was a booking. I also thought it may record in a studio but no, not in todays VO world, even a lot of union spots record from home. And this one required SOURCE CONNECT which 'd been putting off getting . I quickly created the source connect account/name but still had to jump through a few hoops to actually get the ap running on my laptop, including setting up a security license with something called iLOK. I did panic a bit. Yet, with a little help from my studio friends, I was able to get the application (which streams the audio seamlessly to the engineer in whatever studio he/she is in), running and tested in the nick of time for the 11:30 AM session. DONE. Once again, Success favours the prepared.
